Landmark Projects

Clients come to SW for ingenious solutions for monumental and culturally significant projects

SW helped clients undertake monumental projects that best represent their vision. Be it a cultural icon, or a vision for the future, we draw the possible out of impossible - working with experts to realise that dream.

A gentle balance
Our experts marry the conventional with the unconventional,  such as with the Kek Lok Si Temple pavilion in Penang, Malaysia. Combining both traditional Chinese architecture with modern steel structures, an architecture true to the client's vision was realized.

Rethinking  tradition
Traditional temple roofs are typically adorned with red clay tiles, supported by wooden eaves and rafters. But when you multiply the size and height to the scale of the Kek Lok Si Temple pavilion, we had to rethink the construction methods and materials. In order to fulfill  client's demands, we settled for steel fabrication of every cornices, every embellishment - just to make it structurally feasible.
