Infrastructure designBe it international ports of call, or the greenest of bus stops, we build practical solutions for the future
Our daily lives have been impacted by various means of transportations in one way or another. With it, comes a whole new set of problems that need to be tackled by the engineering field - the corresponding infrastructures. Advising for a better solution At SW, we lend a hand as an advisory role for ports and marinas within the local context. Drawing from a breadth of expertise and in-depth knowledge of the industry, we helped realised the upgrade of international port of call like Port Swettenham in Penang, Malaysia. Sustainable approach In Penang, home to the UNESCO world heritage Georgetown, we also helped rethink the definition of bus stops around the city - towards a greener and sustainable design. Using self-sustainable power sources such as solar power for night-time lighting and recycled wood for seats, just to name a few, are some of the green initiatives that also benefit the client - through reduction of overall life-cycle costs. |
